Lecture & discussion with Dr. Taiya Mikisch
An academic career often brings a variety of demands and challenges: A high workload, the need to conduct quality research, publishing, teaching responsibilities, administrative tasks, supervision, to name only a few examples.
Especially during the PhD and postdoc phase, many academics report to be challenged with stress, depressive episodes and anxiety. Therefore, both for personal well-being and professional effectiveness, it is important to look after our mental health and resilience.
Self-leadership involves developing skills and attitudes that help us navigate our personal and professional lives in a sustainable way. This lecture helps to explore effective skills in a supportive setting and to create routines that work for them in everyday life.
