EUROPA-CENTER Real Estate Group is expanding to Berlin Adlershof. Executive board member Dr. Gregor Brendel talks about sustainability and special architectural features.

DR. GREGOR BRENDEL: The Real Estate Group has its headquarters in Hamburg, with affiliate companies in Hamburg, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Berlin and Essen. We offer a total of approximately 245,000 square metres of office and commercial spaces: flexible spaces for office and commercial buildings, logistics and commercial parks, hotels, business apartments and parking facilities.

You recently celebrated the toppingout ceremony of your second construction stage on Rudower Chaussee in Adlershof. What does this office building offer its tenants?
The office building features high construction standards and a sustained design. It has been scheduled for certification (silver level) by the DGNB (German Association for Sustained Construction) and meets the requirements for a modern and efficient work environment.

A further construction stage is expected to make for an architectural highlight?
Indeed. High-class office spaces featuring spacious window fronts are currently being developed. The building itself impresses due to its interesting bridge-like construction allowing for an uninhibited view of the listed sphere-shaped thermoconstant laboratories in the extended inner courtyard. Moreover, the structure offers ideal conditions for large tenants who prefer the option of having their own entrance ways.
