RLI Managing Director Kathrin Goldammer has been appointed by Berlin’s Senator for Economic Affairs Ramona Pop and Brandenburg’s Minister of Economic Affairs Prof. Jörg Steinbach as spokesperson for the Energy Technology cluster for three years as part of the Joint Innovation Strategy of the States of Berlin and Brandenburg – innoBB 2025. She advises the cluster management on strategic and operational issues and represents the interests of the cluster stakeholders.

The energy technology and transport, mobility, logistics clusters are part of innoBB 2025, which was adopted by the two federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg in January 2019. The innovation strategy forms the basis for economic policy cooperation between the two states and clusters five thematic areas. The aim is to promote innovation in these thematic areas across the state border and to enable direct exchange between founders:inside, business and politics. The five clusters are:

  • Energy technology
  • Health industry
  • ICT, media, and creative industries
  • Optics and photonics
  • Transport, mobility, and logistics

The clusters are overseen by a joint management of Berlin Partner for Business and Technology and the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation.

“In the capital region, we have a wide variety of stakeholders: Energy supply, grid operators, industrial companies, research, but also many associations and start-ups,” Kathrin Goldammer explains. “As cluster spokeswoman, I would like to bring them into conversation with each other. In addition, the international networking of our region is important to me.”
